As Haiti captures our attention, many are scrambling to help. Some of us have flown there. Others are staying close to sources who are there. Still others think the mainstream news provide an accurate picture as events unfold. But news is not the final word on real events.

This show’s guest is Alystar McKenneh (filmmaker, writer, and producer of Peace Keepers). Alystar flew to Mississippi and drove into Katrina five days later on her motorcycle. She has important stories and insights to share with us about what it’s like to be on emergency ground.

Alystar is launching a one-woman motorcycle ride for a two-month, 10,000-mile adventure called “Road To Sturgis“. Join us as we learn what one person can do to help after one of the worst emergency disasters in US history.
