When it comes to paint, most of us make our purchases without a second thought. Very rarely do we consider the chemical content in the paint or the potential toxic impact to our bodies or the environment. But paint need not be so harmful; in fact, there is a science to healthy paint.

As the Green movement gains momentum, many players entered the market in an attempt to capture conscious customers who want to make healthy choices about everything from hygiene products to construction materials (paint included). We invited Rudolf Reitz and Amrita Khalsa, the owners of Bioshield, to talk with us about how the industry has changed over the past 25 years. We discuss environmental distinctions that are often overlooked when considering materials, and separate the wheat from the chaff regarding healthy paint. Join us for a colorful discussion with this dedicated husband-and-wife team out of New Mexico.
