We will never forget your healing, uniting, loving and much needed presence. Thank you for being a voice for peace. Thank you for standing up. Thank you for speaking out. Thank you for being so connected to God. Thank you for your timeless contributions and the continuing generations who will be reminded of what is possible in the face of conflict, discord, and discouragement.
Thank you for being a space and a voice of peace in what seemed like an impossible task. That peace continues from your voice forever. Thank you for what you left behind for generations to come.
We are reminded that your holiness mattered, that your life was not lived in vain, that you are to be forever honored and appreciated.
You are still deeply loved. I appreciate you and also your wife, Coretta, who stood by you as you walked a difficult path. Thank you, Coretta for being with your husband the way that you did and for continuing to bring peace even after his premature and untimely death. We love you too and we will remember you all.
