Dr. Sydney Bush
As more people begin to recognize the importance of preventive medicine, the time has come to reassess prevailing medical wisdom on heart disease and the way we diagnose and treat it. Optometrist Dr. Sydney Bush is the founder of the World Institute of Optometry and CardioRetinometry® and the pioneer of CardioRetinometry®, a groundbreaking new biological science that can precisely diagnose heart health. Whereas costly, invasive, and often unnecessary diagnostic tests and surgeries are par for the course in cardiology, CardioRetinometry can safely and inexpensively diagnose the condition of the heart by photographing the retinal artery with a 45º camera lens. If your optometrist has a 45º lens, Dr. Bush will accept photos for analysis via email and will be able to tell you the exact condition of your heart. Dr. Bush has had great success in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease using his methodology and protocols for vitamin C supplementation. In this segment, he explains why vitamin C is so vital to heart health and the body as a whole – as well as why doctors are trained to discourage patients from taking high doses. Join us for an eye-opening look at the future of heart disease prevention.

Loved the interview Kim. I have started a regimen of 5 grams vitamin C/hr, with no bowel intolerance at all. As a smoker, I have researched and found that 40-50 grams/day is good for me. I am planning to begin integrating urine therapy into the mix as well, mixing 5 grams vitamin C with warm urine 4 times/day as well. Golfers elbow and anxiety are better already. I haven’t heard about urine therapy as the ultimate vit. C reuptake protocol. Any thoughts everybody?
This is a great interview listened to it a few times so as not to miss anything. Got people to test their vitamin C and all were woefully inadequate in Vitamin C, which was quickly corrected by taking 500 milligrams 5 times a day.
It’s a conundrum, the vitamin C story. I read Dr Pauling’s book in the seventies and have used massive doses of C ever since, off and on and always, when using it I had better health. But the tide of Allopathy is powerfully persuasive and even logic and true science are not always strong enough to set aside its lies. I specifically remember pictures of Linus and wondered at the clean healthy colour of his skin, especially for a man of his years.
I read somewhere that carbohydrates demand a lot of vitamin C, calcium, magnesium (and probable other important minerals and vitamins) for digestion. When I went raw palaeo in my diet, I found I needed less supplementation in my life. This may answer concerns I have had about our ancient brethren and our recent Inuit peoples in regards to vitamin C intake: how could they ever have gotten enough vitamin C in their hunter-gather life styles—especially if massive doses of vitamin C are necessary for optimal health. It does not make sense that what can’t be got is justifiable for health. But, if indeed it is that carbohydrates are the culprit to good health and they rob incessantly, minerals and vitamins from the body for their digestion, then a) on a Ketogenic diet, the body may live well on far less vitamin C and other nutrients, and b) with a modern carbohydrate rich diet, massive amounts of vitamin C are required to stem the loss of this vital nutrient.
This story is not over and I applaud Rainmaker in her tenacity to uncover the facts behind this topic.
Dear Mike,
If I remember correctly, “muktuk” (blubber from a whale or walrus), kelp, caribou liver, and other foods included in the traditional Inuit diet contain vitamin C, which is one reason why we don’t see more scurvy in Inuit populations.
I suspect you are correct, Site Admin. Most animals produce their own Vitamin C; therefore it must be in their bodies, and in some more than others. But I also suspect the body may need less Vitamin C if the foods that designed our nature made up the greater table.
I would sure like to see an interview, Site Admin, with Walter Last on this or some topic of health. He has no quick answers, no magic bullet to change world health, but his in-depth study opens up understanding with each topic he discusses. I am reading his work on the alkaline and acid body. It is not just the eating from food groups that most claim that will change the body’s ph for better health.
Hi Kim, just want to say a big thank you for continuously bring in new science and medical breakthroughs to the general public. You are truly talented with such a relentless effort and keen focus. We appreciate whole heartedly!!! I am telling everyone. Look forward to future segments.
Dr Bush has treated me and my family for the past year:his assessments were amazing and the evidence of his science, when you see the photos, is astounding. It is literally UNBELIEVABLE that he is being hounded in the UK,where I live,by so-called `men of science`.There seems to be 2 extremes of scientists nowadays:the men who keep to thier own little world of knowledge ,supported by money from Big Pharma ;the other are the people like Dr Bush who are so open-minded and genuinely wish to do good.I`ve bought his book for myself and for others and it contains SO MUCH excellent advice and good sense.I`d advise anyone to go and see him and get a benchmark for your heart condition
John, it is indeed frightful that the governments we elect do not support the public they were elected to serve. The meaning of Democracy is slanted to serve the monied interests in our societies. This is now so evident in my own country where Prime Minister Harper continues on a path that seems fascist, or at least anti-democractice in its behaviour. Australia seems no better off and the Mother Country of modern democracy, Great Britain, seems to be tracking the same course fervently. At least these three countries still uphold Habeus corpus; but how long will this last? Great warriors like the late Dr Pauling and the determined Dr Bush, to mention just two, and the efforts of our tenacious Rainmaker, give us hope.
