John Taylor Gatto

John Taylor Gatto joins us to discuss his latest book Weapons of Mass Instruction as well as his earlier book Dumbing Us Down. A former New York State “teacher of the year” award winner, John Taylor Gatto travels around the country as a public speaker to promote educational reform. We are trained to send our children to school, but rarely think about what is actually happening in their classes. How accurate is the formal curriculum? What constitutes “learning”? More importantly, what formal and subliminal messages are our children absorbing, and how does the mass education system harm them?

John Taylor Gatto outlines the formal agenda behind school systems. Their purpose for being will astound many of you! Join us for a dynamic discussion that is bound to rock your world.

Especially in light of what has transpired between the US Military and their covert use of mind manipulation with regard to the US Senate and the funding of US interest in war and my own experience with the regional expectation to be “dumb” enough so as to NOT alienate and isolate myself as I find necessary, this is very, very interesting, and timely.

Not having a degree hurts you when applying for employment, especially with the government.
You also have the problem of trying to get hired by a person with a degree when you don’t too. If you would be hired and out shine that person that would mean they spent their time and money for nothing.
